I feel better about the drawings, partly because I have realized that they won’t look like anything no matter how hard I try. This week I’ve draw with the sounds of birds chirping and rain pouring in the background. My window has been up, and usually these sounds would just be background noise. However, doing this practice and simply focusing on what I’m drawing and not being able to look at the paper has made these sounds come to the forefront of my mind and I’ve found that it is rather relaxing. I feel that it’s a peace that’s needed during this time in order to take your mind off of everything else going on around you. My mind is currently placed in the present as far as what I’m hearing, seeing, and the movements that my hand makes. This is a truly relaxing process.
